We’ve recently had a few incidents involving off-leash dogs, so we wanted to share a few friendly reminders to help everyone — and every dog — enjoy our shared space safely.
Our neighborhood loves dogs — they bring joy, laughter, and a real sense of community to the park. To help keep it that way, please remember these quick tips:
Leashed Dogs Come First
If you’re enjoying some off-leash time with your dog, please leash up when another leashed dog is nearby. Not all dogs are comfortable being approached — and that’s okay!
The leashed dog always has the right of way unless you’re in a designated off-leash area or outside city limits.
Reliable Recall Matters
Off-leash play is only fun when everyone feels safe. If your pup doesn’t come right away when called, consider keeping them leashed for now or enrolling in a simple 6-week recall class. It’s a great way to strengthen your bond and confidence together.
Tip: Carry treats and reward your dog every time they come when called — consistency makes all the difference and pretty soon you may confidently be able to rely on their recall!
Be a Good Neighbor
Living in a community means looking out for one another — including our furry friends. A little courtesy goes a long way toward keeping the park friendly and welcoming for everyone.
Quick Reminders
Always carry a leash, even if your dog is off-leash.
Pick up after your pet.
Be mindful of kids and non-dog park users.
Together, we can keep our park a safe, happy place for all neighbors — two- and four-legged alike.
Thanks so much,
Your HOA Team
